Blue Mesa Review accepts previously unpublished work in Fiction (up to 30 pages), Non-Fiction (up to 30 pages), Poetry (3-5 poems), Book Reviews, Interviews, Graphic Novels, and Cover Art. With a rotating Editorial Board, each of our magazines is fresh and unique. In general, we are seeking strong voices and lively, compelling narrative with a fine eye for craft. We look forward to reading your best work!

Simultaneous Submission: We do accept simultaneous submissions, but ask to be informed immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere. Also, please do not send multiple submissions; wait for us to respond to your manuscript before sending another.

Format: typed, double-spaced, numbered pages, and brief cover letter. Please make sure your name is on the first page of your manuscript.

Reply: Response time is two to six months.

Rights: We purchase first North American serial rights and non-exclusive electronic rights for our website, if we choose. Blue Mesa Review does not consider work that has been previously published in print or online. Rights revert to the author upon publication.

Payment: Contributors receive two copies of the issue in which their work appears and the option to purchase additional copies at a discounted rate
